it never ends

the past year i have been building up professional experience in hopes of landing a career that is somewhat sustainable. i don’t care to be poor. i don’t care to be rich. i don’t care where i live, where i die. i just want to be able to help plant the seed that maybe there is something ultimately good in this universe. maybe there is something to be happy about in the moment, and something to look forward to. maybe its something we don’t understand, maybe its something we don’t want or believe in because theologians and religious groups have entertained and caged it into something that completely fits into the human mind. maybe its something that exists or doesn’t exist, or maybe a little of both.

‘whatever the case, it in its true form is Good.

it is patient and kind;

it does not envy or boast;

it is not arrogant or rude.

It does not insist on its own way;

it is not irritable or resentful;

it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.

it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

it never ends.”- 1 Cor 13

layers

i saw this guy at the train stop the other day. beat up shoes, jeans and a hoodie. in 36 degree weather maybe a hoodie isnt the best pick, maybe his dreads were keeping him warm tho. He didn't seem shaky or cold. I got really curious about this man. I got talking to him a little and he laughed when i asked him how he was staying warm in a hoodie. he unzipped it a little revealing a couple thermals and said "yea man, its all about layering up for the winter, I don't like jackets too much cus most are so bulkly"

baggage

as i walked to the baggage claim, the people of the district passed me by, i looked ad an advertisement to my left for the new nestle coffee that said "gets your mourning going right" i stopped for a second and took a second look and felt foolish for reading it wrong, to avoid making a scene i looked at the ground one foot in front of the other till i got to the claim.

the good thing about taking it easy getting off the plane is everyone waits for the baggage claim anyways. i wasn't in a rush to grab my bags, knowing my ride would be another 30 minutes, didnt want to be lugging around that stuff.

+ music should be free

-1999 napster changed the music industry.

-2010 the music industry still hasn't recovered from the change, in fact has turned into a big-desperate-money-eating monster... The RIAA has felt compelled make a statement by recovering millions of dollars through litigation trials.

Can we all agree that there is good, and there is bad? but can we agree on what is good? and what is bad?

If a group believes and acts in a common good, and they see fit for a music project to be the "soul expression" of that good, they will support it (and it will support them).

an edit

"when i first met you i didn't know you"

when i first met you -
the connection wasn't there.
I was sort of like asking the question who is this person (that goes around doing this and that)? but i did not care to get to know you.

through time after time of spending time with you, i wanted to be your friend not just because it was convenient, but because i started to see that you have your eyes on the prize, and you live a life of meaning and purpose, and I can say that its been crazy, fun and pretty worth it.

keep up the good work, comrade.

mac screensaver

i am a pixel on this page.
mac has a pretty crazy screen saver. it pulls from your photo library and originally you see one photo then it zooms out into 2, 4, 8, 24, until you see many photos, it keeps zooming out until the photos blend together, working as pigment to the next big photo. it repeats this process using new photos.

but its weird how life doesn't work this way for me. i mostly don't look outside of the pixel that i am. a satellite lost in space that doesn't see planets, stars, or galaxies.

its good to be true to yourself though. its the school of thought i have always had, but the idea of existence as a part of the worldwide community, seems a bit humbling to me.

why go?

because maybe just maybe, its my destiny, part of my life's story, to serve.
